Ruckus Spinning Rods

The Ruckus series of rods offers the most variety of any series we offer.  The 7' 3-piece is our only travel rod and is the prefect addition to canoe country hiking trips or for trips with long portages where you want to stow the rod.  Ruckus rods cover most clear water finesse applications and will be a great addition to your next backcountry fishing adventure.  These rods boast great sensitivity while keeping the same minimalist features all Saga rods offer. 

All Saga rods are designed to be the lightest possible weight taking nothing away from the natural action of the blank without sacrificing strength and reliability.  This gives anglers the utmost in sensitivity, reduced fatigue over a long day on the water, and keeps carry weight to a minimum for long portage days.  Saga rods all feature reduce butt length to greatly improve handling while seated in a canoe or kayak while still balancing well for use from shore or in a boat.  Saga rods are best balanced when the reel is held between the ring and pinky finger.  This allows your index finger and thumb to have full contact with the blank greatly increasing sensitivity.  Holding the rod in this way greatly increases comfort as you hold a reduced size reel seat, it floats in your hand vs being death gripped as a traditional hand position would do.

Target Species / Applications:

• Intended for clearwater fishing in remote wilderness lakes but at home anywhere finesse techniques are called for
• Perfect for chasing Smallmouth Bass and Walleyes or pursuing Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike (especially 7'MF), while still precise enough for chasing all species of panfish and stream trout (especially 7' LF).
• Perfect when Long casts are needed on gin clear waters with light finesse baits.
